Needle Cricothyroidotomy is a life-saving skill when performed in the can’t intubate, can’t ventilate scenario. By introducing a 14G IV Needle through the cricothyroid membrane and providing jet insufflation of oxygen by means of the CritiJet Jet Insufflation Device, the critical care professional can buy the patient valuable time until arrival definitive care facility. Needle cricothyroidotomy is preferred over surgical cricothyroidotomy in paediatric patients.

Needle Thoracostomy to decompress a tension pneumothorax in a compromised patient could potentially save their life. Once decompressed, the attachment of a one-way CritiValve will to the catheter will reduce the potential for air to be drawn through the catheter and a reoccurrence of tensioning.
