Performing the emergency surgical airway procedure is a critical skill in the can’t intubate, can’t ventilate situation. Accessing the trachea via an incision through the cricothyroid membrane can be performed rapidly and will provide a means to ventilate the patient through 6.0mm cuffed endotracheal tube.
